4U RECORDING INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
We offer three intern cohorts per year: Spring, Summer, & Fall.
Our 6 month internship program is an unpaid learning experience where you’ll receive on-the-job training that will enhance your education and prepare you for a future career in the music industry. We’re looking for interns who are professional, self-motivated and extremely detail-oriented to take on opportunities throughout our various departments. As an intern, you’ll be placed on a team based on your background, strengths and skills. All interns will be assigned a business-specific project to complete over the course of the internship.

Audio Engineering
This position with the engineering team will work with our skilled team to learn about recording techniques, studio etiquette, digital and analog recording equipment, and audio mixing.

Preferred Credentials: experience in Audio Production, Audio Recording, or Live Sound

4U Recording:
Studio Management/Marketing
This position will work closely with our studio managers to facilitate client bookings, plan events and campaigns to showcase studios/event rental spaces, execute on social media strategy, and collect client feedback after recording sessions and events hosted at 4U.

Beatroot Distribution
Beatroot is a top global distribution company with a team of industry veterans committed to assisting independent artists distribute their music and maximizing the success of projects. This position with the Client Services department will include creating contract summaries from distribution agreements, reviewing prospective Beatroot clients, monitoring project performance for the Beatroot roster, and executing on social media strategy.

Heavy Hitters Music is a film, TV, and advertising sync company with an all-female creative team and Emmy-winning music catalog based in Los Angeles. This position with the A&R/Creative team will include artist evaluation and discovery, industry analysis, learning how to create pitches for music supervisors, and executing on social media strategy.

MIME Publishing Group works with today’s best producers and songwriters to register and administer their music catalogs worldwide. This position with the A&R/Creative team will include supporting writing sessions with MIME Pub’s songwriters and producers at 4U Recording Atlanta, evaluating potential signings, and managing and collecting songwriting metadata.
